Wedding Behind the Scenes - The Millwood Wedding

Just Beautiful.

This wedding was beautiful and I hope my wedding is just as gorgeous. Joseph and Kristen put together a gorgeous wedding that they will remember forever I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of this special day. I did have a second shooter for this day but this is not always the case. That is something that is up to the bride and groom. My second shooter for this day was Allie Bramlett. It was raining on this beautiful spring day but that did not stop us from getting some amazing photos.

The Beginning

I always begin a wedding day with details and getting ready photos of the bride and bridesmaids. Kristen and her bridesmaids were on top of it and ready to go when I got there. Super punctual but also very laid back and super fun. We had Kristen's mom help her into her dress and the bridesmaids were just in awe of how gorgeous Kristen was in her dress! We took the girls down into the chapel for some photos and I can not get over how gorgeous this venue is. I am a little bias as I am getting married here in the fall. Once I was done with the ladies they went back up to the bridal suite and it was time for the guys. I did some of the guy's photos in the chapel but

since it was wet outside where it had stopped raining. The ceremony was gorgeous and included some fun stories of how Kristen and Joseph started dating. With a ring exchange, some personal vows, and "I Dos" Joseph and Kristen were pronounced husband and wife sealing it all with a kiss. The reception was a very casual reception with lots of lovely people gathered together to celebrate the love this two share. Their reception included some god food, first dances between bride and groom, mother-son, and father-daughter, cutting the cake, tossing the bouquet, and sparklers to end the night.

Memories Were Made

Their memories were made. I would classify their wedding as traditional and I love it. I love being able to experience many types of weddings and that includes traditional ceremonies. Kristen and Joseph did not do a first look, they did not have a unity ceremony (besides rings), and their reception did not include any guest dancing. Their whole wedding was special and intimate. This is a day they will remember as an amazing day. Kristen and Joseph chose a beautiful venue and some amazing vendors who all came together to make their day so gorgeous. I asked Kristen what she would like to tell future brides who are planning their wedding and she said "I would recommend saving money wherever you can, so you can spend it on things that really matter to you!".
