Chattanooga, Tennessee Bluff View Art District Wedding - The Brashers

Ashley and James said their I Dos on April 26th, 2025, in the Bluff View Art District in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Did you know that Chattanooga, Tennessee, is now considered a National Park City, the first of its kind in the USA? Chattanooga is a truly beautiful place, and as a portrait and wedding photographer, I feel truly blessed to live near so many beautiful places.

Ashley and James got ready right near where they said their I Dos. This area is filled with many places to get ready for a wedding day, and they were able to snag two separate places. Ashley got ready alongside a few family members while she and James's little girl was fast asleep. The morning was peaceful, which is more than you can ask for on a wedding day. James got ready alongside his sons and some other guys who are important to him. Ashley and James did not have a wedding party, but they did have family members getting ready with them.

Once it was time for the first look, we ended up having to hold off as the rain decided to come in, but it did not stay for long. Right after their first look, we snapped some couples portraits, just in case the rain set in later, and headed off to get ready for the ceremony.

Their ceremony was at Bocce Court Terrace, which is a location I had passed by many times but had never been to. It was a beautiful overlook, and I was truly stunned to see how this little venue fit right into this area of downtown.

After the ceremony, we did the typical family photos and then headed out to take more couples portraits because the evening was looking beautiful. After the ceremony and family photos, I love taking the couple away for more photos. It is a good chance to get a breather away from the crowd and chaos, and be more in the moment. I think most of my wedding day memories come from taking photos because it was less chaotic.

After the portraits, we headed back to Bocce Court Terrace for their evening reception and dinner.
